It takes 3hrs 30mins if you walk from the entrance of the park until Cabo (a very very beautiful beach) Worth the walk! You could take a bus (few thousand pesos) from the entrance to the start of the trail point and cut the time by 45mins but you will miss inspecting the different vegetation, checking out the little eco-hotel huts/ campsites along the way. Tayrona park is certainly my best whole day adventure thus far. Price to enter is 63500 pesos per person and 4000 for insurance.Įnjoy the views and beaches folks, it’s well worth seeing! It was really windy when we went, but people were still swimming in medium swells.Ī few pointers: make sure to have a photo id even if it’s a picture on your phone as they require it to enter. The beaches are nice but do get crowded by mid day so your best bet for the best spot, go early!! They have fresh fruit stands, juice stands, beer stands, restaurant along the way so don’t worry if you forgot something as you can pick it up along the way for a bit more money then usual. The journey itself is nice and has a few spots that are alittle more rugged but for the most part it’s a easy walk. The bus cost 3000 pesos per person and it’s highly recommended.

If you don’t catch this bus, it will be about a 5km hike or 45 mins before you get to the 2 hr hike.

The park opens up at 8 but they allowed us to enter shortly before and catch the bus the the entrance way. They only allow some many people to enter per day, so we left around 630 am from the bus stop (Santa Marta) and arrived at 730. We caught the local bus for 7000 pesos per person out to tayrona.
